MS Dhoni will be deployed in the Kashmir valley as part ofVictor Force. The former India captain will stay with the troops and he willtake on the duties of patrolling, guard and post duty.

MS Dhoni, India's most successful captain, had made himselfunavailable for the West Indies tour.MS Dhoni, who holds the honorary rank ofLieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army unit of the Parachute Regiment (106Para TA battalion), was accorded the honour by the Indian Army in 2011.4 yearsago, MS Dhoni became a qualified paratrooper when he completed5 parachutetraining jumps from Indian Army aircrafts at the Agra training camp.Dhoni wasinvolved in a gutsy partnership with Ravindra Jadeja in the semi-final of the2019 World Cup but India fell just short as New Zealand reached the final.MSDhoni had led India to victory in the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 World Cup andthe 2013 Champions Trophy.
In India's first match of the 2019 World Cup against SouthAfrica, MS Dhoni had donned the Balidan crest on his wicketkeeping gloves.However, the ICC said it was against rules and he removed the crest for India'ssecond match of the tournament against Australia.
